We Have Our Country Back

Today is one day I will remember for the rest of my living years.
We snatched our country back out of the hands of the "radical"
religious right wing machine. It's a beautiful day in our country
when we can no longer say that race divides us. That our politics
are what makes us go threw our lives with hate and a foul
bitterness of what we allowed to go on in our country over the last
8 years.

The people have spoken.. we want change, we want something new,
we want compassion for those that have suffered at the hands of the
radical republican agenda and those that watched their bills pile
up and struggle to put food on the table while watching those
politicians continue to fill their pockets with the oil companies
dollars. Money that came from our pockets.

Our money will now go towards things that will make our country
better. To heal the attempts of destruction of our nation at the
hands of a monster even we didn't think we could stop. To fix the
mess that was created by arrogance and manipulation. We can now
begin to heal and to move on as a country. As ONE nation.

It's over for those whom thought only of themselves during a time
in our country where everyone felt the downward spiral .. those
that thought it was ok to push their religion into our politics and
government. Which in the end brought us to an unjustified war & a
depression in our economy. For those who were too weak to suppress
racism and allowed the hate from our ancestors to continue in a
place where there is no longer any tolerance. The ones that used
fear to manipulate the American people to push their own agendas,
bringing us to live in a state so paralyzing that we suffered
greatly as a nation that we may see for many years to come. Those
that didn't mind sitting by and watching the oil companies get rich
while others were kicked out of their homes because their jobs were
shipped overseas. A job that they may have worked at for over 30
years ... simply shipped away. And last but certainly not least...
Those that called us Un American because we fought for what we
believed in. We believed in our country enough to know that we
could do better. That we could become the nation we were founded to
be.

No it's not the time to treat republicans as they treated us for
eight years. As tempting as it may be.. Let's show them exactly
what we are. We are a nation of love and compassion for it's
people. No matter what walk of life, no matter what race, no matter
what choice of religion, no matter what gender. No matter what side
of the fence you sat on. We are American and we just showed the
rest of the world that we ARE the home of the free and the land of
the brave.

This time we seen bravery of a different kind.. The bravery to take our country back.
